We are seeking a senior Financial Analyst who will be providing functional, technical, and analytical expertise applicable to the Applied Materials financial systems. This person is under Corporate FP&A group and will work with key business partners across the company's finance organization and GIS to deliver global solutions for reporting and forecasting that address management requirements. Responsibilities:

Primary Responsibilities:

• Participate in Agile project implementations. Assist with development of financial models / dashboards to provide visibility to data insight and analytics
• Support systems related activities working with business partners to resolve problems, drive process improvement and ensure timely and accurate consolidation of financials
• Lead process and systems improvement and scaling projects and partner on cross-functional teams, to drive the company's continued growth and scaling.
• Manage assigned FP&A reporting and analysis deliverables in an effective and efficient way
• Support management & business partners in completing ad hoc reports and providing explanations on data and variance analysis

Requirements:

• Bachelor's Degree (Finance, Accounting, or Information Technology). Master's Degree preferred
• 4-6 years of experience in Finance/Accounting
• Strong System skill, including Anaplan or SAP BPC
• Experience in new business intelligence technologies, tools & concepts such as Python, Hadoop, Tableau, Machine Learning a strong plus
• Experience with quality assurance concepts, procedures, and policies, with the understanding of system integrations, implementations, deployments, and testing concepts
• Ability to solve business problems with a data-driven and strategic approach and should be able to drill down data and system issues across planning, reporting, database, and ERP platform by working with Business and IT partners
• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel
• Attention to details. Ability to think clearly and work effectively with cross-functional teams
• Curiosity to learn new system, business & improve upon existing processes
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal - speaking with all levels of technical and non-technical partners
