Senior Financial Analyst, Financial Reporting
RELATIONSHIP & SCOPE
The Senior Financial Analyst will report to the Manager of Financial Reporting and is a pivotal team member of the Finance unit. The Senior Financial Analyst will interact with a diverse group of internal personnel including other financial analysts, divisional leadership, and functional staff to interpret financial data and operational performance.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES • Perform various tasks within the Finance unit, including data analysis, reconciliations, journal entry preparation, US GAAP financial statement preparation and analysis, process documentation, and special projects
• Serves a key role in preparing the global intercompany detail review for the US companies
• Responsible for varying monthly and quarterly ledger analytic processes and adjustments
• Responsible for preparation of certain reporting package schedules for US and China-based companies to support Chubb's quarterly and annual financial statement filings
• Expected to cross train processes within the unit
• As a member of Corporate Accounting & Finance, the position is also part of the resource pool which will be relied upon to address peak needs across the group
Qualifications
Technical Skills and Requirements: • Bachelors degree in Business with a major in Accounting or Finance • Strong communication and interpersonal skills • Excellent computer skills with an ability to learn accounting and insurance policy software • Ability to multi-task and prioritize deadlines • Strong organizational skills and proven ability to work independently • Microsoft Word and Excel experience required • Proven problem solving skills
