What You Will Do

You will be responsible for general ledger accounting and reconciliation, financial reporting and analysis for assigned functional areas. You will work closely with internal customers cross-functionally to ensure accuracy and communication of financial results.

  • Lead the month-end close process, including but not limited to preparation of journal entries, consolidation of financial statements, and detailed analysis of general ledger accounts.
  • Reconcile balance sheet accounts on a monthly basis to ensure accurate reporting and sound financial controls.
  • Ensure activity is properly recorded in the general ledger.
  • Focus on Inventory and partnership with Sourcing, Supply Planning, Buying GPC and warehouse teams to ensure correct inventory management.
  • Manage fixed asset process in compliance with company policy including fixed asset counts, partnering with project managers to track project spend and project capitalization, and ensuring financials are recorded accurately to the ledger.
  • Oversee process for accurately recording payroll, fringe, bonus and other accruals as needed.
  • Oversee GIM loading and maintenance, cost rolling parts and processing engineering/manufacturing change orders (ECO/MCO).
  • Process and reconcile intercompany billings. Partner with shared services as needed.
  • Development and support of monthly forecasts, strategic plans, annual operating budgets, and other financial initiatives.
  • Compile data and develop, prepare, and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
  • Analyze actual expenses and prepare expense analysis and variance commentary against budgeted, projected and historical activity.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements, and implement efficiencies.
  • Prepare ROI analysis on projects and capital purchases.
  • Record, develop, and test internal controls to ensure compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley 404 regulations.
  • Lead the development and implementation of accounting policies and procedures.
  • Complete projects, duties, and ad-hoc analysis as requested.
  • Able to routinely make a decision which may affect immediate operation and have a company- wide impact.

What You Need

  • Bachelor's degree required
  • 2+ years of demonstrated successful related professional experience required
  • Strong Microsoft Excel and Word skills. Hyperion Enterprise, Oracle Business Suite and SAP experience a plus

You will need to live within commuting distance to our Flower Mound, TX office. You will need to be in the office 2-3 days a week, but you will have the flexibility to work from home on the other days.

Travel Percentage: 10%
