Senior Financial Analyst, Investment Reporting (Hybrid Work Model)

About the Role

As a team member in Global Investment Reporting, you will join an international team responsible for the financial data related to the firm's investment portfolio. The successful candidate will have a deep understanding of financial instruments, security master attributes, portfolio attributes and trade life-cycle events as they relate to investment reporting requirements. The candidate will support current business activities as well as future changes to the system landscape, highlighting system defects to the project team. The role will be based in Kansas City; however, will provide support to teams based in India, Slovakia, New York, and Kansas City.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure data accuracy related to a wide range of investment products such as: bonds (inflation, ABS, MBS, Corp, Govt), equities, derivatives (futures, options, and swaps) and alternative investments (infrastructure loans, middle market loans and private equities)
- Verify accuracy of bond yields (EIR), cashflow projections, amortization, market data, bond attributes (SPPI) and research data discrepancies for corrections when needed
- Assist in monitoring of outsourced data management activities to ensure they are performed on timely basis and support team as SME when further analysis is required
- Effective collaboration with internal business partners such as Investment Reporting, Asset Management, Internal Audit, and IT
- Participate in relative systems and data governance projects and initiatives by drafting business requirements and supporting the process by participating in user acceptance testing
- Understand, interpret, and implement data requirements for various reporting regulations: USGAAP, US Statutory (NAIC) Solvency II and IFRS9
- Assist in processing, compiling, and reconciling data related to system conversions of new assets.
About the Team
The Global Investment Reporting (GIR) is part of Group Finance and has ownership of sub-ledger accounting for investments including all valuations and related reporting deliverables.
The role is an integral part of GIR based in Kansas City and Bratislava, as well as with our partner teams in India
About You
- University degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting or Business
- Experience in Investment Operations, Investment Accounting, Custody Operations, Finance, or related field
- Knowledge of Financial Instruments, Investment Cashflows, Effective Interest Rate or Yield
- Solid understanding of Security Master data
- Language skills: English fluent written and spoken
- Knowledge of MS Office, Bloomberg, Eikon, IHS Markit
- Strong verbal, written, analytical and conceptual thinking
- Knowledge of Investment related software is an advantage (SAP, HiPortfolio, PAM, InTrader, Aladdin, Murex)
- Productive and efficient in the face of ambiguity or uncertainty, readily adapts to different ways of doing things
