Senior Financial Analyst (Remote - US)

Job Summary
Primary Function/General Purpose of Position
Responsible for providing financial operations support to the Home Office, Region and Facility leadership. Provides labor related analytics to support leadership strategy, implementation of the annual operating budgets and achieving developed labor management goals. Provides expertise in the collection, analyses, summarization and distribution of productivity and statistical data. Develops conclusions and provides feedback concerning historical, current and prospective staffing operations of the facilities. Ensures accuracy and timeliness of facility data submission required for daily and bi-weekly reporting process.
Essential Job Functions
- Collaborates with colleagues to determine information needs, assess information availability, access and analyze appropriate data and finalize reports.
- Supports the Labor Productivity system through operational analyses
- Performs productivity system editing/auditing functions to maintain and/or improve data and reporting quality
- Provides information needed for planning, budgeting, management decision-making and labor management using current productivity, GL and other systems as needed.
- Develop methodologies/approaches, design report formats, and write reports to extract data from various sources.
- Interprets and summarizes information, performs appropriate statistical tests and analysis.
- Maintains the confidentiality of information in accordance with Bon Secours Mercy Health policy.
- Requires travel to Regions (10%).
- Duties as assigned or approved by immediate supervisor.
Employment Qualifications
Required Minimum Education: Bachelor's Degree
- Specialty/Major: Accounting/Finance
Preferred Education: Master's degree
- Specialty/Major: Accounting or MBA
Minimum Years and Type of Experience:
- Three or more years of experience in healthcare finance or accounting.
- Preferred five or more years of experience in healthcare finance or accounting.
Other Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:
- Ability to communicate effectively both orally and written.
- Effective organizational and communication skills. Ability to prioritize and coordinate multiple projects simultaneously.
- Ability to plan, organize, maintain priorities and schedule, to ensure that deadlines are met.
- Knowledge and ability in the financial forecasting, business plan development and budgeting processes.
- Ability to understand and present statistical/financial information to varying audiences throughout the organization.
- Proficiency in Microsoft computer software tools (spreadsheet, word processing, presentation).
- Excellent Excel skills required including proficiency in complex formulas.
