The RoleThe Senior Financial Analyst - Specialty Sales reports to Finance Manager, Sales Finance. Responsible for financial support of the Specialty Sales Team including topline and trade spend forecasts, customer P&L's and ROI analyses.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with the Specialty Sales Team to track and report customer/sku level sales budget & forecasts
- Collaborate with the Specialty Sales Team to track and report a customer/sku level promotional budget and forecast including ROI analysis. Drive improvement in promotional ROI and efficiency
- Collaborate with the Specialty Sales Team to track and report customer profitability including Net Sales, COGS and direct SG&A and Marketing expenses
- Collaborate with business partners to identify risks and develop mitigation plans
Support Senior Finance Manager, Sales and Distribution and the Director of Sales, Specialty in managing special projects and corporate initiatives
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or a related field. Master's degree or professional certification (e.g., CPA, CFA) is preferred
- 2+ years of finance/accounting experience (investment banking, financial consulting, corporate finance, FP&A, etc.)
- CPG Industry experience preferred
- Strong knowledge of financial planning and analysis, budgeting, financial modeling, and financial reporting including GAAP accounting
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret financial data and provide actionable insights
- Strong Excel product knowledge with preferred experience in data visualization tools Power BI, Tableau etc
- Demonstrated leadership and team collaboration skills, with a demonstrated history of cross functional collaboration
- Oracle NetSuite experience preferred
