Senior Financial Functional Analyst, Digital & IT

OVERVIEW:

As an ERP Analyst for Digital and Information Technology, you will be collaborating with functional team and Digital & IT colleagues to enhance, streamline and support Enterprise financial applications.  Activities include code optimization, SQL query modification, enhancing performance and deploying and implementing system improvements as we consolidate several legacy applications and ultimately deploy new industry leading solutions to increase the productivity of our internal Finance teams.

You will work closely with teams located in the US, EMEA and APAC.

• Skillsoft is seeking a motivated, experienced IT professional to join the Enterprise Business Technology Solutions Team. This is an exciting opportunity for an Peoplesoft ERP professional to join an exceptionally skilled team and contribute to initiatives to standardize and enhance our technology footprint, aligned to our corporate priority to strengthen our operational foundation.
• As a Peoplesoft ERP Analyst, you will work with functional team understand the technical aspects and modifications required to achieve the task at hand; understand the user journey and define detailed technical and unit test documents to enhance the design and development on our ERP platforms and SaaS based applications in support of Record to Report and Procure to Pay business processes.
• Partnering with the Quality Assurance team, to develop and execute system testing and as well as coordinating and conducting internal user support and training.
• Understands core financial processes from Record to Report and Procure to Pay and the impact of transactional changes on downstream processes as the system is designed.
• Provide backup support on current Finance systems and solve issues through triage and partnership with cross-functional teams.
• Assist Product Owner(s) by identifying tasks, issues, risks and providing regular updates.

​SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:

• Overall 8+ years of experience in IT and 7+ years of Peoplesoft ERP with emphasis on Finance modules, specifically General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Asset Management, Billing, Accounts Receivable, General Ledger, Cash Management and Subledger Accounting.
• Good experience in data mapping between other applications
• Should have worked in Support Projects + Implementation Projects
• Exposure in all aspects of the development life cycle, including architecture, development, testing, training, implementation, integrations, and support of reporting applications.
• Experience in implementing or migrating or consolidating the legacy ERP application to latest SaaS based ERP applications is preferred.
• Should be able to work with multiple groups to coordinate and carry out technical activities which include new development, maintenance, and production support activities.
• Design, configure, unit and system testing, documentation, assist in training and implementation of projects, programs, workflows, etc.
• Experience in translating Functional specifications into technical requirements.
• Work with other business users and IT users to resolve reported issues with oracle EBS financial modules leveraging database, application, and development support expertise.
• Involved in the month-end and year end close of financial modules to ensure timely close of Accounting Periods
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills – able to think through issues and provide alternate solutions, which are well-thought-out.
• Works independently, with little or no guidance and with the ability to efficiently manage multiple tasks.
