Job Description

As a key member of the controllership team, the Senior Financial Reporting Analyst will be responsible for the preparation of key components of the financial reporting process. This position will prepare supporting documents for all external financial reporting documents and related SEC filings, which includes the filing of Forms 10-K and 10-Q, compliance with XBRL requirements, preparation and review of press releases, as well as preparation and review of statutory financial statements. The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of GAAP, SEC regulations, FASB pronouncements and all other reporting guidance.


RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Prepare supporting calculations and analysis to include in high quality Forms 10-K and 10-Q in a timely manner, including financial statements, MD&A and disclosures.
  • Ensure efficient preparation of supporting documents to comply with all other filing requirements, including Forms 4, 8-K, and etc.
  • Provide significant input to supporting calculations for proxy statements, press releases, and periodic investor calls.
  • Stay current on changes to Accounting Standards Codifications (ASC) and SEC regulations and evaluate and communicate impact on company’s financial reporting.
  • Support ensuring that key technical accounting policies are current and conduct accounting research on complex accounting and reporting matters.
  • Maintain the company's GAAP checklist and SEC checklist and ensure the company’s financial statements comply with current requirements.
  • Provide inputs to external and internal audit processes and act as key point of contact on technical accounting topics.
  • Prepare supporting financial information to be included in the company's external communications to regulators and investors.
  • Work closely with the broader finance team to ensure consistent implementation of accounting guidance and disclosure requirements for budgeting, forecasting and internal reporting.
  • Help to prepare for and support SOX compliance requirements and appropriate disclosures for quarterly and annual reporting.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance required
  • CPA license essential
  • 5+ years of relevant work experience
  • Strong technical knowledge of U.S. GAAP and SEC accounting and reporting requirements
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and strategic-thinking skills
  • Self-motivated, reliable, flexible, deadline-oriented, having a keen attention to detail, and ability to complete multiple tasks in a timely fashion, independently, and with minimal supervision
  • Combination of private industry and public accounting experience preferred
  • Exceptional planning, project management, and organizational skills
  • Prior experience in actively drafting and preparing SEC filings, including XBRL tagging
  • Prior experience designing, implementing, and documenting policies and procedures in a SOX-compliant environment
  • Strong knowledge of Excel
  • Experience with XBRL tagging
  • Experience with NetSuite is preferred
  • Experience with DFIN Active Disclosure preferred

This position pays a minimum base salary of $88,000 + Bonus/Commissions + Equity + Benefits. The actual compensation offer will be determined by a number of factors, including, but not limited to, applicant's qualifications, skills, and experience.
