Job Description
Specific responsibilities include but are not limited to:
External financial reporting:
- Prepare portions of quarterly (Form 10-Q) and annual (Form 10-K) reports filed with the Securities and Exchange Commission
- Assist Investor Relations with preparation of quarterly earnings release documents
- Respond to inquiries from internal and external auditors during the quarterly review and annual audit process
Monthly accounting and reporting:
- Prepare monthly statement of cash flows, balance sheet, sales by destination report, earnings-per-share information, and monthly financial reporting package, which are all distributed to senior management
- Analyze information submitted by business units and locations and ask questions as needed to ensure completeness and accuracy
Technical accounting:
- Research complex accounting issues, including assisting with ad-hoc technical accounting questions from various global finance personnel, and prepare technical memos
- Assist in accounting for areas within the Financial Reporting team which could include goodwill and intangible assets, business combinations, and share-based compensation
- Research and implementation of new accounting standards
Other:
- Drive finance process improvements
- Complete special projects and analyses as requested by management
- Work closely with and provide guidance to early career rotational analysts within the Financial Reporting team
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor degree
- Legal authorization to work in the US is required. We will not sponsor individuals for employment visas, now or in the future, for this job opening.
Desired Qualifications
- CPA or plans to obtain CPA preferred.
- Exposure to U.S. GAAP accounting standards and research.
- At least 3-5 years of progressive accounting/finance experience.
- Big 4 public accounting firm experience and exposure to global industrial companies preferred.
- Ability to proactively manage multiple short-range and long-range tasks in a time-sensitive environment.
- Willingness to challenge the status quo in order to enhance productivity, processes, and procedures.
- Effective interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills.
- Superior attention to detail.
- Working knowledge of SAP, Hyperion Financial Management, Oracle Enterprise Performance Management Cloud, Wdesk and Microsoft Office products a plus.
