Position Summary
DarkStar Intelligence is looking for a dedicated Senior FOIA Analyst to join our federal government client's team in McLean, VA. The ideal candidate will be responsible for reviewing, assessing, and responding to public and official requests for the release of classified and/or sensitive ODNI information under FOIA, PA, or MDR. Duties include delivering training to ODNI personnel, assisting various organizations with ODNI compliance, participating in ODNI and IC working groups, and contributing to annual compliance reports. The role requires stringent enforcement of privacy laws and regulations, including ensuring public accessibility of cleared information and safeguarding personal data. Candidates must hold a Top Secret/SCI clearance, a CI Poly, and possess a MS/MA + 10 years OR BS/BA +18 years

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

• Manage and respond to cases involving public and official requests for the evaluation and release of sensitive and classified information from the ODNI under FOIA, PA, and MDR regulations.
• Determine if the request constitutes a new case and ascertain the necessary actions for each case.
• Coordinate with relevant organizations for subject matter expert reviews.
• Prepare high-quality, error-free documents and records as required by each case.
• Update and maintain all associated trackers, scorecards, and calendars.
• Consistently track and update case statuses using designated ODNI tools.
• Provide training to ODNI personnel on FOIA/PA/MDR policies, processes, and procedures.
• Participate in ODNI and IC working groups as per government instructions.
• Collaborate with OGC, ICIG, OEEO, and other entities to ensure ODNI's full compliance with FOIA/PA/MDR regulations.
• Ensure that ODNI information approved for release is made available for public inspection and/or copying/downloading, following legal guidelines and government directions.
• Facilitate the lawful right of individuals to access records, subject to statutory exemptions, for public or private purposes.
• Allow individuals to amend records containing personally identifiable information about themselves in accordance with legal and government instructions.
• Prohibit unauthorized access to individual-specific information without the concerned individual's knowledge and consent.
• Contribute to the preparation of annual compliance reports as directed by the Government.
