This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Senior Forward Deployed Engineer (FDE) based in United States.
This role sits at the intersection of software engineering, AI innovation, and customer-facing solution delivery, focused on building and deploying AI-powered systems that solve complex operational and mission-critical challenges.
You will work directly with enterprise and public-sector stakeholders to translate ambiguous business needs into scalable, production-ready technical solutions.
The position blends hands-on engineering with technical leadership, requiring strong ownership across architecture, development, and deployment phases.
You will design and implement modern AI-enabled applications leveraging LLMs, machine learning, and cloud-native architectures.
The environment is fast-paced and highly collaborative, involving close partnership with customers, engineers, and technical leadership teams.
You will act as both a builder and trusted advisor, guiding stakeholders through AI adoption and modern engineering practices.
This is a high-impact role where you directly influence solution design, delivery success, and customer outcomes.
Accountabilities:
- Partner directly with customers to understand business challenges, technical requirements, and operational goals, translating them into scalable AI-driven solutions.
- Lead technical discovery sessions, architecture workshops, and solution design discussions with both technical and executive stakeholders.
- Design, build, test, and deploy AI-enabled applications, APIs, microservices, and automation workflows.
- Develop solutions using modern AI techniques including LLMs, RAG, agentic systems, and machine learning models where appropriate.
- Architect secure, scalable, and maintainable systems across cloud or hybrid environments with strong focus on performance and reliability.
- Implement CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, monitoring, logging, and observability frameworks for production systems.
- Lead technical workstreams and provide guidance across multiple concurrent client engagements.
- Mentor engineers through code reviews, design reviews, and hands-on technical coaching.
- Develop reusable frameworks, accelerators, and technical assets to improve delivery efficiency across projects.
- Contribute to solution proposals, demos, proof-of-concepts, and technical presentations for customers and stakeholders.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Data Science, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- 5+ years of experience in software engineering, AI engineering, data engineering, or related technical roles.
- Strong programming experience in Python, Java, C#, JavaScript, or TypeScript.
- Proven experience building and deploying AI/ML or generative AI solutions in production environments.
- Experience designing distributed systems, REST APIs, microservices, or enterprise integrations.
- Hands-on experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
- Strong understanding of CI/CD pipelines, DevOps practices, and automated testing frameworks.
- Excellent customer-facing communication and consulting skills with ability to engage senior stakeholders.
- Experience leading technical delivery workstreams in agile, fast-paced environments.
- Willingness to travel as required for client engagements.
- Experience with LLMs, RAG, vector databases, MLOps/LLMOps, or regulated industry environments is a plus.
