High-speed data transmission systems send information from the vehicle's eyes and ears (sensors) to the brain (computing platforms).

Your Role

As a Senior FP&A Analyst within our Electrical Distribution Systems, you will be preparing analysis and reports for actual, forecasts and budgets They will lead the external forecast roll up, P&L variance reporting, as well as tracking and analyzing the ongoing business disruptions such as supply chain efficiencies and material/wage inflation.

This role will report to the Global Director EDS FP&A with key interactions with the Regions, the EDS Global Leadership Team, S&PS FP&A and Corporate FP&A.

In your daily job you will:

  • Work with regions and S&PS FP&A to get global EDS monthly actual/forecast financials and prepare EDS package including P&L trends, P&L variance, SOCF, etc., work with EDS VP of finance to determine and roll up external forecast adjustments to P&L and SOCF.
  • Oversee monthly actual/forecast submissions from regions, ensure they're in line with expectation. Identify, communicate and resolve issues noted during the month close.
  • Consolidate and check regional monthly P&L variances detailed performance explanations, ensure specific variances tie out to other relevant trackers.
  • Highlight and discuss the main drivers of various performance variances
  • Track ongoing business disruptions such as supply chain inefficiencies and material/wage inflation, work closely with SCM and Sales team to understand and track customer recovery.
  • Support preparation of monthly, quarterly business financial review presentation for EDS leadership to present to Aptiv's executive leadership team.
  • Adhoc analysis as required by the Global EDS FP&A team

Basic Skills/Qualifications:

  • Bachelor degree in Finance and/or Accounting
  • 5+ years' experience in finance
  • 3+ years' experience of FP&A
  • Strong planning and time management abilities
  • Analytical, critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
  • Sound communication skills: written and verbal along with individual, team and group environments
  • Microsoft Excel (Advanced)
  • English (Proficient)
  • Willingness to travel if required

Preferred Skills/Qualifications:

  • Ability to work under pressure in a fast paced environment: problem solving/decision making
  • Prior operations/plant finance experience
  • Manufacturing/Automotive sector experience
