About the Opportunity
We are seeking an experienced FP&A professional to join our rapidly growing B2B SaaS company. The Senior FP&A Analyst will be responsible for developing models, forecasts and budgets company wide and KPI analysis, under direction from the VP of Finance and partnering with cross functional teams and senior leadership.
Leveraging your passion for contributing to the growth of a SaaS company, you will drive financial planning and analysis activities to achieve growth and scaling targets. The new role will model both top down and bottoms up scenarios from 1 to 5 year plans optimizing company performance and valuation targets. The Senior FP&A analyst will manage companywide strategic financial analyses and reports, including budgets, forecasts, and KPIs.
To thrive in this position, you will need the ability to translate complex financial data and concepts into strategic insights that inform business strategy. Strong cross-functional relationship building skills are essential, as you will partner with key stakeholders company-wide to ensure financial plans and analysis supports their department goals and the overall growth objectives of the business.
Role Expectations
- Reporting to the VP of Finance you will prepare 1-5 year plans with multiple scenarios for analysis and strategic business decision making.
- Support the development and management of the budgeting and forecasting process, partnering closely with financial, functional, and business division leadership to ensure alignment with strategic business objectives and targets.
- Partner with PLG (Product Lead Growth) leaders to analyze, forecast and report the growth metrics for the Product Led Growth motion.
- Partner with the leaders in Direct, MSP, and Reseller sales channels to develop, monitor and analyze models and forecasts to meet strategic objectives.
- Identify and lead initiatives to continuously improve, automate, and scale forecasting and reporting tools, processes, and methodologies.
- Collaborate with Marketing, Product, Sales and Finance leaders to drive and execute both short-term and long-term policies to drive growth and efficiency while delivering a high return on investment.
- Prepare monthly rolling financial forecasts segmented by product groups, business divisions, and business functions.
- Establish, monitor, and analyze SaaS and financial KPIs against appropriate benchmarks and identify trends to provide actionable insights for the business.
- Develop and manage the forecasting, reporting, and analysis of company wide ARR in total and segmented by business unit, vertical and cohort.
- Prepare analyses of companywide ARR movement and develop insights into changes in ARR & SaaS metrics including new customers, product add-ons, product cross-sales, contraction, customer churn, LTV and CAC.
- Prepare and manage rolling company-wide cash runway forecasts.
- Prepare mid to long-term growth and strategic financial plans.
- Assist in the preparation of budgeted GAAP income statements, balance sheets, and statements of cash flow.
- Check actual results against budget and forecasts and recommend corrective measures working with leaders in each department.
- Provide insight and commentary to management on KPIs and financial results.
- Produce and compile financial reports and metrics to be used in content delivered to the board of directors, venture capital investors, and executive leadership.
- Perform margin and profitability analyses on product groups and business divisions.
- Assist with special projects and ad hoc financial analyses and modeling requests.
- Prepare data room files and due diligence requests for Capital Raises.
- Create P&L expense accruals for month end close if necessary.
- Assist with annual audit requirements as necessary.
About You
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
- ~5 years FP&A experience, with recent experience at a scaling SaaS company
- Expert Excel skills and financial modeling experience leveraging BI applications
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strategic thinking ability and experience translating analysis into actionable insights
- Comfortable working with ambiguity and forecasting on new lines of business
- Solid knowledge of GAAP and three statement financials
- Desire to work at Series B - C stage startup and help create new processes, procedures to help lead the development of the FP&A function within the company.
- Assist with software tooling decisions, upgrades and implementations as a necessary part of growth and scaling.

Salary: $125-145K
