Material Bank is seeking a Sr. FP&A Analyst to be a key member of our Finance Team, reporting to the Senior Manager, FP&A, with significant exposure across the company. The FP&A Sr. Analyst will be responsible for a wide variety of analytical and planning tasks, including annual budgeting and budget management, financial modeling, defining and monitoring key metrics, and other ad hoc analysis.
This is a fast-paced, multi-faceted role within a dynamic environment, that requires candidates to have strong communication and people skills as well as a willingness to roll-up your sleeves.
What you'll do:
- Participate in the monthly rolling forecast process and proactive analysis of how the company is trending toward the achievement of targets
- Build detailed financial models and deliver insights that inform key decisions impacting growth, investment, and profitability (e.g., LTV, CAC, AOV, cohort retention, cash flow, unit economics)
- Participate in monthly processes to monitor progress against goals and evaluate budget variances to ensure a clear understanding of factors influencing our financial position and key metrics
- Participate in the creation company-wide presentations and communications, and support external financial communications efforts as needed
- Support and drive the implementation of new processes and technology
- Work closely with accounting and other departments to drive the process, data collection and reporting across the organization
- Participate in monthly reporting, communicating variances vs budget and researching trend outliers in expenses and revenues.   Â
What you'll bring:
- 3-5 years of experience in FP&A for a high-growth startup, investment banking, or other corporate finance role
- Advanced analytical skills and mindset, including expert level Excel & financial modeling skills (e.g. 3-statement modeling)
- Experience with quarterly forecasting and annual planning a plus
- Outstanding presentation and strong communication, ability to interact across levels of the organization
- Willingness to act as a business partner to support teams throughout the company
- Self starter who can thrive in a fluid and ambiguous environment
- Able to manage multiple priorities and projects simultaneously
- Knowledge of accounting principles
- Drive improvements in financial processes, systems, and reporting capabilities to enhance efficiency and accuracy
- Ability to work with complex and highly confidential information
- Experience with DataRails or other excel based FP&A software a plus
