The Senior FP&A Analyst will assist the finance team and every department across Bluecore in fully understanding financials as well as using numbers, analytics, and KPI’s to guide strategic decisions. The role will own department expense tracking, assist in forecasting revenue & expenses, drive strategic decisions, and advance analytic & financial software.
This role will report to the Sr. Director of FP&A while working closely with other members on the finance team as well as collaborating with nearly every department at Bluecore particularly with R&D and go-to-market functions.
The Role:
- Help advance financial strategic decision making across the company
- Lead monthly departmental actual vs budget review
- Own budgeting software (Adaptive Planning) to ensure departments have accurate understanding of their expenses, headcount, and periodic re-forecasts
- Design, own, and create dashboards & KPI’s in Looker to drive further understanding of different business areas
- Assist with strategic finance projects across the company particularly across Research & Development and GTM functions
- Support company pricing model including business model changes, contract structures, and aligning with stakeholders across the business
- Collaborate with Sales Operations team to understand deal structures, Bookings, ARR, & other key company metrics
- Own gross margin analysis to understand all dynamics that impact product pricing & infrastructure cost on a per client basis
- Drive FP&A side of close by updating budget model with monthly actuals and reviewing metrics for accuracy
- Constantly evaluate and improve upon company forecasting model; including P&L, Balance Sheet, and Cash Flow
- Help with monthly and quarterly reporting for the exec team, board, and investors and assist in short and long term planning while helping leaders understand financial impacts of decisions
- This position is remote but must keep east coast working hours - We are a remote first company and recruit from over 25 states; Bluecorians will have the option to work from our New York City headquarters as they’d like
What you bring to the team:
- Undergraduate degree in business or finance required
- Experience building and owning financial models required
- 3+ years of relevant work experience in Financial Planning & Analysis, Investment Banking, or another strategic finance role preferred
- Prefer prior experience in Software, SaaS, Ecommerce, Retail, and/or FP&A role at a startup
- Prior use of data analysis tools (Looker), accounting software (NetSuite), and forecasting/budgeting tools (Adaptive Planning) are all a plus
