What you will do
- Assist in preparing final financial plan, forecast, reporting and analysis for the business.
- Collaborate and assist in developing the Business Plan including analysis, distribution and recommendations for management reviews.
- Collaborate and prepare final monthly analyses of business trends and budget variance of financial results and Key Performance Indicators to be used in management reviews and strategic business analysis sessions.
- Collaborate and facilitate on the implementation of a financial/planning tool.
- Develop the final in depth analysis of the business performance and recommend action plans, including gap closures, considerations for managing cost, growing the revenue and profitability along with the FP&A team.
- Assist in developing final capital planning models, reports and templates.
- Collaborate in creating cash flow statement and ad-hoc cash flow analysis/trending in planning tool.
- Collaborate in defining the need for and the source of data requirements for the planning & forecasting and reporting processes.
- Conduct the development of strategic business analysis with overlays and commentary alongside the FP&A team.
- Assist in the creation of final performance reports, including business insights, ad-hoc analysis and recommendations to executive management.
- Proactively identify and communicate possible scenarios, risks and opportunities around business performance alongside the FP&A team.
- Assist in the creation of profitability/costing models and oversee other financial system implementations.
- Collaborate in developing and analyzing economic drivers of the business client (e.g., customer churn, renewals).
- Model/assess performance scenarios to analyze risks and opportunities alongside the FP&A team and other teams.
- Communicate with partners in a clear and concise manner.
What Cowbell needs from you:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics or four or more years of work experience.
- Three to five years of relevant insurance work experience.
- Experience with Microsoft Office Suite with strong knowledge of Excel (lookup formulas, pivot tables, power query)
- WorkDay Adaptive planning strongly preferred
- NetSuite experience strongly preferred
Cowbell believes that pay equity and pay transparency advance workplace fairness. Compensation will be equitable and based on experience. The salary range for this position, based in Pleasanton, CA is up to $125,000.00 annually with an annual bonus and equity. This salary range is subject to change based on work location and market conditions.
