Our team

Your future fellow team members currently live in Birmingham, Chicago, and along the Gulf Coast. The Birmingham group periodically works out of the HQ building when the flow is right, but also works digitally first along with much of our company. In a nutshell, we want the best talent located wherever they happen to be. We can usually catch each other for quick Slack pings or Zoom calls from roughly the core hours of 9 am to 3 pm Central. We rely heavily on asynchronous communication through Asana, our company-wide project management system.

From a systems standpoint, we use a lot of them. We rely on the saying: "a great solution today can become a problem tomorrow." We are constantly thinking about if processes or systems will scale. If we can get a few years from a system before we need to replace it, then we'll implement it. We rely heavily on automated integrations between our systems so we can keep manual work down.

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field. MBA or CFA qualification is considered a plus.
  • 5+ years of proven experience in financial planning and analysis, preferably within the software sector.
  • Strong proficiency in financial modeling analysis using Excel or other relevant tools. Advanced formula writing, pivot tables, writing and maintaining macros, and charting/modeling excite you!
  • Familiarity with SaaS metrics, such as MRR (Monthly Recurring Revenue), CAC (Customer Acquisition Cost), NRR (Net Revenue Retention), GRR (Gross Revenue Retention), Churn Rate, and LTV (Customer Lifetime Value).
  • Natural curiosity with a keen interest in understanding the story behind the numbers, going beyond surface-level analysis to uncover valuable insights.
  • Strong communication and storytelling skills, with the ability to effectively convey financial concepts and analysis to non-financial stakeholders, crafting a compelling narrative that drives decision-making.
  • Proficiency in data visualization and financial planning software is a plus (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, Adaptive Planning, Mosaic, or other tools).
  • Experience with ERP systems (e.g., NetSuite).
  • Self-motivated and proactive approach to problem-solving, with a continuous improvement mindset.
  • Ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities and thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Strong ethics and integrity in handling confidential financial information.
