Senior Front End Engineer

Since 2018, our passionate and motivated team of problem solvers has built a full online grocery marketplace and rescued more than 228 million pounds of food. With each new zip code we serve (we’re up to 38,000 now!), we’re one step closer to our goal of eliminating food deserts in America by 2025.

We are now seeking a Senior Front End Engineer to join our team. As a member of our Front End team, you will be working with a team of engineers, designers, and product managers to deliver a fast, high-quality experience for customers shopping our marketplace across web and mobile.

You will get to:

• Collaborate with the product team to understand detailed requirements and own your code from design, implementation and delivery
• Contribute to the design and implementation of new products and features while also enhancing the existing product offering
• Build high-quality, clean, scalable and reusable React components
• Ensure high standards in architecture discussions and code reviews
• Advocate for best practices, great usability and exceptional quality

Who we’re looking for:

• 5+ years of professional experience building front end web experiences
• Strong proficiency in modern Javascript
• Experience with modern frontend frameworks, preferably React or relevant declarative UI library.
• React Native development experience is a plus
• Working knowledge of frontend state management patterns like React Context
• Familiarity with performance optimization in high-traffic applications
• A proven track record of working in fast-paced environments
