Senior Front End Engineer

Two Six Technologies is seeking an experienced Senior Front-End Developer to work on our cross-functional development team supporting our existing operational multi-domain mission platform serving critical national security functions, migrating existing functionality to new frameworks, and designing new functionality and products in cutting-edge modern frameworks. Join our team to solve hard problems in large-scale data investigation and analysis, real-time collaboration, task and resource planning and coordination, and high-dimensional data summarization and visualization allowing lay persons to easily answer complex questions.

Responsibilities:

• Participate with IKE’s front-end development team and other teams in thinking creatively about end users' problems and use cases in order to participate in prioritizing and designing features that deliver the most bang for the buck
• Work well independently in a small team and fast-paced environment
• Implement new front-end UI/UX features with unit tests in a modern web framework such as Vue or React with an eye towards responsive design, cross-browser and -platform compatibility, performance, and modularity/code re-use
• Implement additional functionality and visualization using libraries such as D3 and Three.js
• Be flexible and able to develop in other frameworks such as Ember.js and plan how to migrate functionality between frameworks
• Follow provided UI/UX designs/mockups but also be comfortable suggesting improvements and designing/implementing detailed controls and handling of edge cases and error states given a broad intent
• Debug issues and help perform end-to-end testing to discover new ones
• Be comfortable designing and developing full sections of functionality given a broad requirement, including identifying and handling of edge cases and error states

Minimum Qualifications:

• Minimum 8 years practical experience in software engineering
• Experience doing front-end web development with the following technologies:
  • TypeScript, JavaScript, CSS, HTML5, and modern web frameworks such Vue.js and React
• Experience testing responsive and adaptive design against multiple form factors, browsers, and platforms
• Experience using Git and working within Agile development patterns

Nice If you Have:

•  Experience using Git and Jira in a development workflow
• Experience with WebGL and web visualization frameworks such as D3
• Experience creating features allowing for simultaneous editing of content
• Experience creating features allowing for large-scale, real-time data visualization
• Experience with Vue 3 and Vite
• Experience with Ember.js
