Senior Frontend Engineer, Communications

In this role, you will help build and evolve the frontend experiences that power critical communication features within a fast-growing, AI-driven SaaS platform for the vacation rental industry. You will take ownership of highly visible user interfaces used daily by thousands of property managers worldwide, ensuring they are fast, reliable, and intuitive. Working in a collaborative, product-led engineering environment, you will partner closely with Product, Design, and Backend teams to deliver scalable and accessible frontend solutions. You will also contribute to shaping frontend architecture and driving engineering excellence across the team. Beyond feature development, you will play a key role in monitoring production systems and improving stability and performance. This is a high-impact role where your work directly influences user communication workflows at global scale.

• Design, build, and maintain scalable, reusable, and high-quality frontend components aligned with the design system
• Develop responsive, accessible, and high-performance user interfaces across modern browsers and devices
• Implement and maintain integrations with backend services, including REST APIs, WebSockets, and real-time communication features
• Identify, debug, and resolve complex frontend issues such as performance bottlenecks, memory leaks, and production incidents
• Contribute to frontend architecture decisions and drive technical initiatives that improve scalability and maintainability
• Participate in code reviews, testing strategies, and engineering best practices to ensure high code quality
• Monitor production systems, troubleshoot issues, and continuously improve reliability and user experience
• Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including Product, Design, and Backend engineering

Requirements:

• Strong experience as a Frontend Engineer working on modern web applications at scale
• Expertise in JavaScript/TypeScript and at least one modern frontend framework (e.g., React, Vue, or similar)
• Experience building responsive, accessible, and performance-optimized user interfaces
• Strong understanding of frontend architecture, component-based design, and reusable UI systems
• Experience integrating frontend applications with REST APIs and real-time communication technologies (e.g., WebSockets)
• Solid debugging skills with the ability to diagnose and resolve complex production issues
• Familiarity with testing practices, CI/CD workflows, and code quality standards
• Experience contributing to technical decision-making and mentoring other engineers is a plus
• Strong collaboration and communication skills in cross-functional teams
• A proactive, ownership-driven mindset with a focus on reliability and user impact
