Senior Full Stack Developer

Position Description

Assured Guaranty is seeking a lead agile developer to work closely with business analysts, product owners, and other developers to deliver high quality technical solutions.  We are looking for someone with a passion for technology, a strong desire to learn, and the ability to collaborate across the firm utilizing strong interpersonal and communication skills.

Responsibilities will include:

• Work within an agile development team to delivery high quality solutions.
• Craft creative and practical solutions and express them in code.
• Design performant and maintainable technical solutions.
• Perform code reviews.
• Analyze and Fix defects.
• Adhere to and propose technology standards.
• Develop solutions with a focus on automated testing.

Candidate Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or equivalent is required.
• Approximately 10 years’ experience in software development.
• Experience designing and developing applications in an AWS environment.
• Experience with programming languages C#, JavaScript, and Python.
• Familiarity JavaScript frameworks React, Kendo UI, and Material UI a plus
• Experience with SQL Server, MongoDB, and Kafka a plus.
• Experience building microservices and event driven architectures, domain models, and user interfaces preferred.
• Experience delivering applications with Docker containers preferred.
• Experience designing and building CI/CD pipelines to support automated testing and application delivery a plus.
• Application Lifecycle Management in an agile team using industry standard tools such as Jira, Git Hub, or Azure DevOps
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Knowledge of fixed income and insurance would be beneficial.

Compensation

Annual base salary for the position is expected to be from $150,000 per year to $175,000 per year. The actual salary will depend on various factors, including but not limited to a candidate’s experience and credentials, salary expectations of applicable candidates, and other applicable market conditions. This position also provides applicable employee benefits, as well as eligibility for an annual discretionary bonus and long-term incentive awards.
