We develop next-generation engineering solutions focused on Resiliency and Innovation. We engineer and integrate the critical systems and platforms used across the bank and with external clients

The Role

• As Senior Full-Stack Developer, you will work on global technical team responsible for Full-Stack development on our messaging platforms, support of enterprise-wide messaging infrastructure on both distributed & Mainframe platforms.
• Enhancing the stability, resiliency, and recoverability of the firm's critical assets and its underlying infrastructure, through a focus on best practices in engineering, tooling, and quality measurement and improvement.
• Uniquely, the group bridges both infrastructure and application development teams, requiring deep expertise of the entire technology stack to achieve the highly resilient, scalable, and performant business services demanded by our clients.

Key Responsibilities

• Weighted from highest to lowest priority.
• Experienced Java Engineer with hands-on experience of cloud-based technologies.
• Must be familiar with messaging technologies.
• Must have the ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex issues.
• Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Work with application development teams providing support of middleware services.
• Utilize industry standard technologies & methods to ensure the integrity & recoverability of messaging-based applications incl. but not limited to: backup & recovery, clustering, security, patch management, enterprise monitoring & performance tuning.
• Prepare and maintain professional documentation required to run and maintain the environment.
• Automation of processes and development of tools to support the engineering and operation functions.
• Participate in regular on call rotation, providing 24x7 support meeting business SLA's
• Subject Matter Expert for Enterprise messaging products.
• Contributor to the enterprise messaging strategy.

Qualifications

Required

• Full-Stack development of messaging applications.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues with messaging platforms.
• Support application testing, trouble shoot and resolve any issues.
• Working independently to contribute to a team delivering solutions.
• Participate in Agile Development process
• Support and maintain existing functionalities and on-board new functionalities to existing applications.
• Work with application development teams providing support of middleware components. Including Containers.
• Define and maintain middleware standards and governance.
• Utilize industry standard technologies & methods to ensure the integrity & recoverability.
• Perform strategic analysis and design of infrastructure and makes recommendations on improvements and/or new systems required to meet business needs and future capacity.
• Prepare and maintain professional documentation required to run and maintain the environment.

Preferred Qualifications

• Java, YAML, Docker, Python, LINUX scripting
• Software provisioning and/or configuration management tools (experience with GIT CICD and Ansible particularly desirable)
• Performance testing and tuning.
