Job Summary

As a Senior Fullstack Developer on the Discovery team, you will dive into a journey of innovation and exploration, working on cutting-edge greenfield projects. Our team thrives on experimentation, rapid iteration, and the willingness to pivot as we uncover new insights and solutions. You will play a pivotal role in integrating various third-party APIs and SDKs, bringing creative ideas to life, and conducting experiments with real users.

Key Responsibilities

• Leverage your strong background in backend development to quickly iterate different solutions. Sixty percent of your time you will be implementing backend solutions.
• Quickly implement frontend features to create intuitive user experiences
• Implement integrations with a variety of third-party APIs and SDKs to enhance the functionality of our applications
• Embrace a hack-and-research approach, testing various ideas and concepts with real users to gather valuable feedback and insights
• Be prepared to iterate rapidly, understanding that multiple iterations and occasional pivoting are integral to our process
• Work closely with the Product Manager, who is the direct owner of all projects within the Discovery team. Your partnership will be key to aligning technical solutions with product goals and ensuring project success

Requirements

• B.S. or M.S in Computer Science or equivalent experience
• 6-8+ years of experience implementing Backend and Frontend solutions
• Proven experience in backend development with a deep understanding of modern frameworks and technologies, particularly MongoDB, PostgreSQL, Python, TypeScript, and NodeJS or Deno
• Proficiency in frontend development, with the ability to quickly implement features and interfaces
• Experience integrating third-party APIs and SDKs
• Strong problem-solving skills and a creative mindset
• Comfort with rapid iteration and the potential for significant project changes or pivots
• Excellent communication skills and a collaborative approach to working with product managers and other stakeholders
