Position Description:

Builds and deploys cloud-enabled software applications using 12-factor design by leveraging core Java technologies and frameworks -- Spring Boot. Supports and improves upon scalable, resilient, and cloud-based systems that meet or exceed customer expectations using Spring, myBatis, REST/Web Services, Maven, Typescript, XML, Apache Tomcat, Swagger, Message Queue and Angular. Writes SQL queries and maintains stored procedures within an Oracle environment. Improves application data management within cloud environments such as Amazon Web Services (AWS) using containerization tools -- ECS and Docker.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Develops original and creative technical solutions to on-going development efforts.
• Designs applications or subsystems on major projects and for/in multiple platforms.
• Develops applications for multiple projects supporting several divisional initiatives.
• Supports and performs all phases of testing leading to implementation.
• Assists in the planning and conducting of user acceptance testing.
• Develops comprehensive documentation for multiple applications supporting several corporate initiatives.
• Responsible for post-installation testing of any problems.
• Establishes project plans for projects of moderate scope.
• Works on complex assignments and often multiple phases of a project.
• Performs independent and complex technical and functional analysis for multiple projects supporting several initiatives.

Education and Experience:

Bachelor’s degree (or foreign education equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems, Information Systems Security, Mathematics, Physics, or a closely related field and three (3) years of experience as a Senior Full Stack Engineer (or closely related occupation) developing payment applications.

Or, alternatively, Master’s degree (or foreign education equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems, Information Systems Security, Mathematics, Physics, or a closely related field and one (1) year of experience as a Senior Full Stack Engineer (or closely related occupation) developing payment applications.

Skills and Knowledge:

Candidate must also possess:

• Demonstrated Expertise (“DE”) designing and developing 12 factor Cloud-compliant Application Programming Interfaces (APIs) using Spring Boot, Java, YAML, JSON, Spring tools Suite, Wire Mock, and Postman.
• DE creating unit test cases using Junit, maintaining contracts in the form of Swaggers, and maintaining source code using Git and Bitbucket.
• DE performing the CI of application build and deployment processes using Jenkins, Maven, and containerization on on-premises and Cloud platforms, using VMware, Docker, and AWS.
• DE developing single page web applications using Angular and TypeScript.
