LS Technologies, LLC is seeking a highly motivated, energetic, results-oriented Senior Full Stack Software Engineer. The incumbent will have experience with cloud technology and cloud adoption. As a Senior Full Stack Software Engineer, you will be pivotal in designing and developing modern web-based applications supporting the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA). You will provide engineering, technical and Research and Development (R&D) project support to the FAA as they investigate modernization of National Airspace System (NAS) data and information systems and services. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to create scalable, efficient, user-friendly software solutions. This position offers an opportunity to leverage your expertise in front and backend technologies to drive innovation and deliver exceptional software products.

Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with clients, system engineers, and others to gather and refine project requirements.
• Architect, develop, test, and maintain high-quality web applications and services using a variety of programming languages and frameworks.
• Lead the design and implementation of complex software features and components. Provide technical leadership and applies comprehensive system engineering principles to support the investigation, analysis, planning, design, development, implementation, testing, and evaluation of NAS systems/services and procedures.
• Optimize web applications for maximum speed and scalability.
• Troubleshoot and resolve software defects and performance issues.
• Prepares and reviews engineering and technical analysis reports, and other technical and safety documentation.
• Conduct evaluations, analyses, and studies as needed and present recommendations and/or solutions.
• Conceptualize development of advanced aviation concepts as they pertain to the NAS, such as Air Traffic Control (ATC) modernization, and future technologies.
• Thrive in an R&D environment.
• Recommend development and design changes to improve quality of products and/or procedures.
• Provide expertise in the transition of legacy systems to modernized systems.
• Interface with FAA stakeholder organizations in support of concept development and validation initiatives. Interact with FAA partners and industry to identify and document stakeholder needs/inputs.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• Proven experience (10+ years) as a Full Stack Software Engineer or similar role.
• Proficiency in frontend technologies such as JavaScript, HTML5, CSS3, and modern frontend frameworks (e.g., React, Angular, or Vue.js).
• 5+ years of experience with Cloud environments. Strong understanding across Cloud and infrastructure components (server, storage, network, data, and applications) to deliver end to end Cloud Infrastructure architectures and designs.
• Strong backend development skills using Python, Java, Ruby, or Node.js. Experience with database systems (SQL and NoSQL) and ORM technologies.
• Familiarity with RESTful APIs and microservices architecture.
• Industry certification desirable (e.g., AWS, CCNP, MCSE, VCAP/VCDX, IBM CSA, INCOSE SEC).
• Solid understanding of software development principles, design patterns, and best practices.
• Excellent problem-solving and debugging skills.
• Strong collaboration, communication, and technical writing skills.
• Proficiency with MS Office (i.e., Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Experience working as a Federal Government contractor
  • FAA experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of the NAS, ATC principles, NAS systems (or other comparable, complex systems/environments) preferred.
