Senior Full Stack Engineer

NOTE: This is a FULLY remote role but the candidate must be within the EMEA (Europe Middle East and Africa) region in order to collaborate with their team peers and customers. You do not have to be in the specific country or city shown in this listing but please do not apply if you are not physically based within the EMEA region.

As a profitable and growing company this role is necessitated by our continued growth. Hostaway is seeking a highly motivated Senior Full Stack Engineer to join our team and drive our growth within the short-term rental space.

Our technical stack:

- Backend: PHP 8.1 MySQL Phalcon OOP AWS RESTful TDD Unit tests Linux Composer Docker Redis.

- Frontend: JavaScript React Typescript CSS HTML Redux-saga RESTful API Webpack Figma.

- Tools: Jira code reviews in Github version control system - GIT Jenkins for deployment Slack Confluence

Your Mission:

As a Senior Full Stack Engineer at Hostaway you will play a pivotal role in driving our growth within the short-term rental space by working closely with various internal business units. You will have the unique opportunity to work on projects that touch every part of our business. Your primary responsibility will be to develop and enhance internal tools that bridge data across our diverse departments enabling better insights and streamlined processes across the company.

What You’ll Do:

• Collaborate with multiple internal teams (e.g. Sales Marketing Operations) to understand their needs and develop features that support their goals.

• Take ownership of the integration of various data sources ensuring seamless connectivity and data flow between our internal systems.

• Design develop and maintain robust dashboards and internal features that enhance decision-making across departments.

• Work closely with stakeholders to ensure that the tools and features you create have a direct and positive impact on business outcomes.

• Provide support and enhancements to existing internal tools ensuring they continue to meet the evolving needs of our teams.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience with React / Typescript

• 5+ years of experience with PHP  MySQL and Git

• Experience in designing and developing RESTful web APIs

• Experience in writing Unit Tests and Integration Tests

• Experience with Git version control

• English language proficiency at C1 level

• Familiarity with development processes such as design review code review and automatic testing

• Experience in the analysis design and implementation of integrations and APIs with custom and packaged software in cloud hybrid and on-premise solutions

• Strong communication and collaboration skills

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Nice to Have

  • Experience developing using Python.

  • Familiarity with Docker CI/CD tools and AWS.
