Guild is hiring a Senior Full Stack Engineer to work with a robust team to innovate and build software that helps adult learners continue their education journey. You will collaborate with creative engineers, product managers, and designers to build products that are intuitive, easy to use, and provide a frictionless experience for our users.

This position is for Academic Finance Squad where you will use your passion for writing clean, well-tested code to enhance the learning partner experience. The number one directive for our team is to ensure financial files are uploaded for seamless invoicing and revenue generation.

As a Senior Full Stack Engineer, you will:

  • Be a part of a team of front-end, back-end, and full-stack engineers building high quality software products for our employer, student and education partners – design, develop, and test well-architected software from the ground up
  • Build software solutions using technologies such as React, Typescript, and Node.
  • Integrate our front-end systems with backend internal and external APIs or a new CMS
  • Proactively engage with stakeholders to gather requirements and deploy solutions to production
  • Lead and participate in day-to-day activities via our agile sprints, daily standups, planning, and retros
  • Collaborate with other engineers on our team – we’ll succeed, learn, and grow by working together to solve sophisticated problems
  • Work closely with our product operations and implementation teams to ensure that project plans, stories, and estimates are accurate and ensure that features delivered meet client expectations and are delivered on-time
Ideal candidate will have:
  • A strong desire and willingness to collaborate among teammates
  • Expertise in several (or all!) of the following or similar technologies: Typescript, React, Node, Serverless frameworks, and AWS Lambdas
  • Ability to contribute to both backend and frontend development
  • Some DevOps experience, including troubleshooting in AWS, updating infrastructure as code, and logging/monitoring in Datadog (or equivalent). 
  • Authorization and authentication experience, preferably in Auth0 or AWS Cognito
  • Demonstrated success in Agile organizations, whether using Kanban or Scrum methodologies
  • Experience and interest in implementing and maintaining automated tests
  • Excellent communication skills that serve in partnering cross functionally to deliver high quality solutions that meet the needs of our customers
  • A deep understanding for prioritization and tradeoffs and coming up with sophisticated software solutions that cater to the user's experience, are easy to maintain and work across multiple displays.

  • A proven curiosity and interest in keeping up and experimenting with new technologies 
  • A knack for technical reading and writing and a willingness to share engineering standard methodologies

We feel passionately about equal pay for equal work, and transparency in compensation is one vehicle to achieve that. Total compensation for this role is market driven, including a base salary range of $155,000-$180,000, as well as company stock options.
