Senior Full Stack Java Developer, Equity Derivatives - PFT

We're looking for a senior full stack developer to:

• design, develop and support front-office web applications and electronic trading systems, working alongside business users to translate complex business and regulatory requirements into innovative solutions• apply a broad range of software engineering practices to ensure the quality, security, reliability, and compliance of our solutions, focusing on both functional and non-functional needs• work closely with the global team to further develop and innovate the platform - building observability into our solutions, monitor production health, help to resolve incidents, and remediate the root cause of risks and issues• share knowledge and expertise with colleagues, help with hiring, and contribute regularly to our engineering culture and internal communities

Your team

In our agile operating model, crews are aligned to larger products and services fulfilling client needs and encompass multiple autonomous pods. You'll be working in the Principal Flow Trading stream in New York as part of the Equity Derivatives Quoting team. You will be part of a global development team, working closely with the front office to build out and support automated electronic trading applications.

Your expertise

• excellent full stack programming skills in Javascript web application frameworks (React/Vue) and Java• takes an automated approach to testing to ensure delivery of high-quality solutions• experience of establishing and exploiting DevOps capabilities• serve as a hands-on technical expert with an interest in learning new technologies and practices• experience in a similar position focused on derivatives technology• a strong communicator with experience of working in a front office environment, facing off to the business and picking up business knowledge at every opportunity• experience playing a full part in a closely knitted team environment• demonstrates the ability to adapt quickly to new challenges and potentially juggle several tasks at the same time
