From deploying artifacts to cloud, mobile devices, and vehicles, to meeting vehicle security certifications and navigating different types of testing and simulation, it can be overwhelming for automotive software developers. That's why the Enterprise Technology Engineering Team (EnTec) builds solutions that enhance productivity, so developers can focus on their true passion – software development – without being bogged down by setup and customization tasks.

WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR

Stargate, the Developer Productivity Platform of Woven by Toyota, aims to boost efficiency by streamlining software development processes. As a crucial part of our engineering infrastructure, Stargate is instrumental in driving innovation and quality, simplifying workflows and fostering collaboration. To enhance our operations and cater to our growth, we are seeking a seasoned Full Stack Engineer with comprehensive knowledge in front-end and back-end development. This role will bridge a critical gap in our team, interacting with backend, cloud, and Kubernetes teams within our Platform Engineering department. The primary responsibility will be to expand and optimize the capabilities of the Stargate platform, developing and implementing productivity solutions, thereby significantly improving our ability to deliver robust, high-quality solutions, and driving our organization's success and growth.

RESPONSIBILITIES

・Provide technical leadership and mentoring to junior engineers

・Front-End Development:

⚪︎Develop and maintain web applications using React, Typescript, and related technologies.

・Back-end development:

⚪︎Architect, develop and maintain scalable and reusable back-end solutions using public cloud solutions (AWS/GCP, etc.) services such as API gateway, RDS and S3.

⚪︎Implement RESTful APIs and server-side logic to support front-end functionalities and data management.

・AWS expertise and CI/CD automation

⚪︎Design and implement CI/CD pipelines using Github actions to automate build, test and deployment processes.

⚪︎Continuously improve CI/CD pipelines for speed, efficiency and reliability.

・Troubleshoot and resolve issues, problems, and errors encountered across our various platforms.

・Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback to peers.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

• Previous technical leadership or mentoring experience
• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (computer science, engineering) or equivalent practical experience in software development.
• At least 8-10 years of professional experience in modern software development, with a strong focus on architectural design and technical leadership.
• Experience working with React.js
• Proven ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to deliver impactful technical solutions.
• 3+ years developing software architecture patterns using cloud-native technologies
• Delivered a project using AWS cloud tools
• Fluent in business-level English

NICE TO HAVES:

• Experience with backstage.io development
• Experience in optimizing applications for scalability, performance, and cost efficiency.
• Certifications in AWS, GCP, or other relevant areas.
• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
