As a Senior Full Stack Software Engineer, you’ll work across the stack with a strong backend focus (70% backend, 30% frontend). From inception to deployment, you’ll own critical product features, creating seamless, impactful user experiences in collaboration with our Product Managers and Product Designers. At Orum, we believe Engineering, Product, and Design are equals in shaping the roadmap, making decisions, and delivering on our mission.

We are a remote-first company in a hyper-growth phase, processing over 10M calls (and counting!) monthly with mountains of data ready to drive innovative product development. Our current technology stack includes NodeJS with Typescript, React, Postgres, Google Cloud Platform, and FreeSWITCH.

Candidates must be based in Canada. This position is not open to other countries at this time.

Salary: The base salary range is $165,000 - $190,000 CAD. If you're selected, we'll make an offer within this range that matches the experience you're coming with. We respect your time and don't intend to waste it.

What You'll Do:

• Full-Stack Feature Ownership
• End-to-End Development
• Backend Development and Optimization
• Real-Time Data Handling and Event-Based Architecture

• System Monitoring, Performance Tuning, and Continuous Improvement

Must Have:

• Experience owning a product or feature through its lifecycle - from discovery to deployment
• 6+ year experience of professional software development experience
• 3+ years of experience building backend applications with Javascript/Typescript
• Experience working with an RDBMS using SQL
• Familiar with Unix shell scripting

Nice To Have:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or a related field
• Experience measuring and tuning performance of NodeJS applications
• Experience building front ends with React
• Experience with cloud infrastructure programming with one of AWS, GCP, or Azure
• Experience building CI/CD pipelines
