The Senior Software Engineer plays a key role in each phase of the software development lifecycle. This individual will work cross-functionally with the company’s infrastructure, security, data warehouse, and other development teams to provide customer-centric solutions and build a world-class Client Experience platform to meet the exploding growth of the company and business demands.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain Java service-oriented architecture platforms from start to finish.
• Lead by example and demonstrate application/platform ownership.
• Identify and prioritize technical debt with engineering leaders.
• Collaborate with other dev leads on cross-team dependencies.
• Partner with the scrum master and product owner on task prioritization, planning, and executions.
• Promote code reviews and hold team members accountable for keeping overall code quality.
• Drive architectural solutions by iterating through feedback gathered through design reviews.
• Attend and actively participate in project meetings.
• Regularly connect with team members to improve overall synergy

Qualifications

• BA/BS in Computer Science or equivalent education/experience.
• 6+ years of system development experience using the following technologies:
• Java Spring/Spring Boot
• J2EE Technologies including JSP/Servlets, EJB3, JMS, JDBC, JMX, Java i18n
• AWS services/ Docker containers/ Kubernetes
• Web Services/SOA, XML, XSL, SOAP
• JAX-RS, JSON
• Tomcat, JBoss, SQL Server, Mongo DB
• Redis
• SAML SSO
• Deep familiarity with Java, Typescript, HTML5/CSS, Web Services, DB, and SQL.
• Working proficiency with modern web application technologies & frameworks such as Angular and React.
• Experience architecting and developing enterprise integration systems.
• Code Build and Deploy Tools such as Jenkins/Bamboo.
• Solid understanding of Agile or SCRUM development process and software release processes.
• Must be a self-starter who is highly organized, hands-on, and a team player.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, startup environment.
• Detail-oriented, with strong written and verbal communication.
