Senior Full Stack Web Developer

Job Description

Join SUSE’s fantastic and diverse web development team as the Senior Full Stack .NET Web Developer and work collaboratively to turn creative designs into solutions and web pages. You will have the opportunity to lead both front-end and back-end development projects, and mentor more junior team members.

In this role, you will be the Web Team’s go-to person for all things C# and .NET development on our new Optimizely Content Management System. You will create and maintain modern, and accessible web pages and applications using efficient code for the SUSE brand.

This position will report directly to the Director of Digital Experience, who is Netherlands based. The role can be hybrid or remote based out of Bulgaria or India.

Focus Areas

• Develop and maintain Optimizely-centric solutions using C# and ASP.NET framework. 

• Act as a subject matter expert for the Optimizely (CMS version 12) suite and navigate and guide our CMS transition.

• Conduct code reviews and unit testing to maintain high-quality code and meet project deadlines.

• Collaborate with various teams across the company – Marketing, Brand, Product Management, Product Operations, Design, etc. 

• Listen actively and communicate with technical and non-technical stakeholders to understand their needs and translate them into solutions.

• Work in an agile environment – attend Scrum ceremonies, including daily stand-ups, backlog grooming, sprint demos, retrospectives, and planning meetings.

Preferred skills & experience

• Seasoned professional with solid experience in front-end development (SASS, javascript, Angular/React, HTML, CSS)

• 5+ years of experience as ASP.NET Core Full Stack Developer

• Good working knowledge of the Optimizely suite of digital products, namely the Optimizely Content Management System (Optimizely CMS version 12)

• Experience integrating Optimizely CMS with third-party applications and services

• Strong sense of responsibility and ownership over the quality of the provided service

• English language proficiency (upper intermediate level or higher)

Nice to have

• Good working knowledge of REST APIs and GraphQL 

• Experience designing and working with relational databases; MSSQL

• Experience with CI/CD (GitLab), containerisation (Docker, Podman, etc.), configuring web servers (IIS, YARP) and cloud computing providers: MS Azure, AWS, GCP

• Affinity towards QA automation - unit tests, functional testing (BrowserStack, Selenium)
