THE ROLE

As a Senior Fullstack Engineer on our Marketing, Philanthropy, & Product (MPP) team, you’ll have a chance to make a massive impact on our ability to reach learners around the world, by leading our SEO efforts. Specifically, you’ll be responsible for driving improvements to our content and schema that enable millions of students, educators, and parents to find Khan Academy material any time they’re looking for high-quality educational content.

WHAT YOU BRING

• At least 5 years experience building world-class product experiences for an interactive web-app. In particular, you have built and maintained backend API, as well as stateful frontend user interfaces.
• Experience building and maintaining complex software. You’ll join us in writing clean, maintainable software that solves hard problems. You’ll write testable, quality code. You’ll push the team and the mission forward with your contributions.
• Strong technical project management skills, as our Senior Software Engineers often lead projects.
• Strong communication, thoughtfulness, and desire to give and receive regular feedback
• An understanding of how technical SEO improves top of funnel organic traffic is a plus
• Empathy for learners around the world. You love learning and are excited about helping others learn to love learning. You’re motivated to learn new things and share what you learn with the world.
• Excitement about helping Khan Academy bring a free, world-class education to the world.
