Senior Functional Test Analyst

Primary Objective of the Senior Tester role is to oversee the production of test documents, the creation of test procedures, and to ensure the successful completion of testing tasks of their team. They should be able to provide guidance to team as well as training, mentoring and guiding junior colleagues. Given their good technical competencies they can pick up a task, analyse and complete it on their own. As a Senior Tester, they need minimal / no supervision.

Job Description:

Design test cases, scripts and data under own direction
Prioritises testing and documents traceability to test basis
Recording and reporting test outcomes
Participating in requirement, design and specification reviews, and uses this information to design test plans and test scripts
Applying agreed standards to specify and perform manual and automated testing
Automating testing tasks and builds test coverage through existing or new infrastructure
Analysing and reporting on test activities, results and issues
Escalate issues and blockers to Team Lead/Test Manager along with the impact and options to mitigate
Collaborating in reviews of work with others
Completing their work with no supervision and given their good technical competencies they should be able to solve problems/ tasks on their own
Thinking out-of-box, suggesting innovative and practical solutions to resolve issues based on their experience
