As our Senior Fund Accountant on the Strategy & Finance team, you will be a key partner in shaping and improving the fund accounting and operational processes within our growing function. You’ll gain insight to fundraising and marketing strategies, and work in interesting cross-functional dynamics with both internal team members and external parties, such as service providers and current investors. You’ll play a pivotal role in administering the operations and financial record keeping of the funds that make early-stage investments into the portfolio companies built at Redesign Health.
You will report to our Director of Fund Accounting at our New York City headquarters or work remotely.
What you’ll do:Â- Maintain accurate records of fund investment and operating transactions, reconciling cash and position balances, and preparing investor reports and financial statements in accordance with US GAAP
- Improve internal processes and controls to increase efficiency, and scale
- Work with external service providers, including the facilitation of external audits of the funds and K-1 preparation
- Address investor inquiries, resolve issues related to fund accounting, coordinate investor transactions, and provide exceptional customer service
- Provide guidance and support to internal team members, sharing your knowledge and expertise in fund accounting concepts, processes, and data
- You have 2+ years of experience with investment companies such as private equity funds, hedge funds, mutual funds, or similar accounting
- You hold a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
- You have a CPA (preferred)
- You have a deep understanding of GAAP accounting and investment company concepts
- You have strong problem solving, analytical and organizational skills
- You enjoy building to create new impacts and are comfortable with moving targets as additional information is presented and business priorities shift and evolve
- You have proven experience paying attention to detail

Full-time base salary of $101,000 plus a competitive equity & benefits package listed under the "Why work with us?" section
