Senior Game Designer

This position will lead our new Las Vegas Game Studio, located in Las Vegas Nevada.

Job Brief: We are looking for an enthusiastic Senior game designer to lead our new Las Vegas based studio. You will be responsible for all aspects of the game’s creation from concept to finished product including programming, audio, design, production and visual arts. Using excellent communication skills and your experience as a means to create great games, this team will deliver world class gaming content across North America.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES:

• Manages and leads all members of the Las Vegas game studio.
• Provide game design expertise working with the team to clearly define all aspects of the game that impact the end-user, including game play, interface, plot, premise, script, animation, sound, art style
• Owns and manages project schedules and milestones
• Set goals and shepherds team to success
• Promotes teamwork in an environment where individuals are spread out across the United States and Canada
• Identify roadblocks, project risks and proactively find solutions

SKILLS, INTERESTS AND QUALITIES

• 10 years of game production/designer experience
• Able to work with team to align priorities and drive towards solutions, a true team player
• Passion to create fun games with an engaging player experience
• Excellent organizational skills
• Motivate and provide support to the game team, always contributing to a positive work environment
• Strong grasp of successful game math principles and best practices

EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
• 7+ years of game production experience
• Strong familiarity with successful game development processes and pipelines
• Experience tracking a complex project and communicating project status using available tools. (Jira and Confluence/Excel, etc.)
• Experience with AAA game development in any capacity (art, design, math, development, production, etc.)
