Senior Game Producer
Job Description
The Senior Producer functions as the Scrum/Project Manager for 1-2 agile teams. The focus of this role is to work with the teams to reach their goals by ensuring development runs smoothly, assisting in communication between the disciplines/departments, and removing roadblocks. This role is also expected to proselytize, mentor, and coach the team on our scrum/agile processes.

Key Responsibilities:
Essential Job Functions:
· Fosters a culture of collaboration and Teamwork. Gets to healthy conflict by building trust through focusing on relationships
· Drives change management at the Team level. Asking questions rather than giving answers to level up the Team to solve their own process or tooling challenges and utilizes a variety of techniques to assist the team in problem solving
· Be the subject matter expert (SME) and Team coach with different development Methodologies as well as Project Management skills
· Ensures all aspects of Team development from the first action in the concept phase through the final action in post release are identified and properly documented. Making sure the actions, roles, and responsibilities are understood by the Team in terms of what needs to be done, by who, and when for operations to run as expected
- - This includes sprint level and feature level planning to ensure the team is able to meet its goals on time.
· Identify areas for improvement for team efficiency, performance, and quality based on production data analysis to be able to propose corrective actions
· Using a solid understanding of JIRA to build projects, boards, workflows, and issues to facilitate communication, strengthen the process, and properly capture the information needed for operational analysis while keeping the overhead of managing tools to a minimum
· Provide proper risk assessment and suggest mitigation strategies accordingly and assist with any necessary follow through on identified action items
· Perform Team retrospectives or Postmortems as needed. Included with these will be root cause analysis, corrective action analysis, and cost benefit analysis
· Provides various visuals/tools to track the portfolio of projects a team is currently working on, or will be working on in the future including Road Maps/Gantt Charts, Dependency Map, Project Burndowns, etc.
· Tracks trending data for team velocity/capacity. Utilizes various techniques to make sure team is working as effectively as possible while maintaining a healthy work/life balance
· Assist the Product Manager in creating and maintaining items in JIRA to ensure no part of a game or feature falls through the cracks.
· Ensure the development team keeps tasks, estimates, and documentation up to date.
· Be the champion of communication with the team regarding design changes, take notes, and follow up on any issues that are left unresolved.
Requirements
Education:
· Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
Required Experience:
· 5+ years project management experience working with or leading cross-functional teams of various sizes
· 5+ years in IT or video game development (Mobile is a plus)
· Project management experience and demonstrable track record of scheduling and completing projects on time
· Experience in various project management methodologies such as Waterfall, Scrum, and Kanban
· CSM Certification is required

· Must have a passion for building and growing relationships. A great communicator who understands the value of the right type of communication, at the right time, with the right medium
· Believes in people over process. A Servant Leader with a high level of Emotional Intelligence (EQ) who likes the spotlight to shine on others when credit is due, rather than themselves
· Comfortable with change and change management. Enjoys turning chaos into order or structure
· A great eye for spotting process or tooling problems, but realizes the real skill is going through the steps to actually solve the problem
· The ability to navigate and influence within a matrix organization or structure
· Demonstrates a high level of written and verbal communication skills. Comfortable speaking in front of audiences of 1 to 101
· Self-motivator who would rather provide their thoughts on what the next step should be, rather than be told what it is
· Challenges the status quo. A highly effective team doesn’t get there by saying it’s okay, to be okay
· Understands process methodologies are simply tools used to help in solving problems
· Recognizes the need and value to use data to assist in making production related decisions
· High proficiency in with JIRA as a project and portfolio management tool
