Senior Gameplay Engineer (Console)

Our team at Stoic, a multi-award winning independent video game studio, is seeking a PC-platform-focused Senior Gameplay Engineer for development of Towerborne.

What you will do

• Build systems, tools, and features in Unreal
• Optimize performance
• Support gameplay
• Implement UI designs
• Collaborate to bring games to multiple platforms

Must have

• C++ expertise
• Unreal Engine 5 / 4 (UE5/UE4)
• Write clean, efficient, reliable, and re-usable code
• Proactive and detail-oriented
• Excellent communication skills with a variety of audiences
• Built, or updated, a game on PC to ship on one or more of the following ecosystems: Steam, BattleNet, Epic Games Store

Nice to have

• Experience on one or more shipped games
• Experience with Test Driven Development (TDD)
• Experience working on a live service game post-launch
• Experience working on cross platform play and progression

While Stoic is a fully remote, forever remote workforce, this is a US-based role. The person filling this role will need to be eligible to work without visa support and located in the contiguous United States.

United States Pay Range

$120,000 - $165,000 USD

This range is determined by several factors, including training, transferable skills, work experience, business needs, and market demands. It is subject to change and may be modified in the future.

The final job level and compensation will be determined by the candidate’s work experience, years of relevant experience, skills, qualifications, certifications, geographic location, and other business considerations.
