We are actively seeking a senior data engineer with Generative AI experience who embodies energy and passion. As a crucial member of our Chief Data Office team, you will collaborate with talented engineers, architects, data scientists, and end users.

By experimenting with cutting-edge technologies, you'll refine and iterate on our solutions. Additionally, you'll contribute to building automation that ensures quality, security, integrity, and maintainability.

What will your job look like?

Your responsibilities will span the design, development, and deployment of optimal data pipelines. Evaluating existing data pipeline architecture, enhancing the foundation, and participating in product ideation and technology stack evaluations are also part of your role.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Design and Implement Data Solutions:

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to create and maintain data pipelines, data storage solutions, and data processing workflows.
• Utilize Azure services such as Azure SQL Database, Azure Data Lake Storage, and Azure Cosmos DB to build scalable and performant data storage systems.

2. Data Integration and ETL:

• Develop and implement data integration processes using Azure Data Factory.
• Extract, transform, and load (ETL) data from various sources into data warehouses or data lakes.
• Ensure efficient data cleaning, conversion, and loading.

3. Big Data and Analytics:

• Work with big data technologies like Azure Databricks, Apache Spark & Palantir
• Create data processing workflows and pipelines to support data analytics, machine learning, and other data-driven applications.

4. Generative AI Technology:

• Collaborate with data scientists and data engineers to incorporate AI components into data workflows.
• Utilize Azure AI services for natural language processing (NLP) and computer vision capabilities.
• Design, develop, and implement AI-based applications using Azure technologies, including Azure Cognitive Services, Azure Machine Learning, and Azure Bot Services.

5. Quality Assurance and Performance Optimization:

• Evaluate the performance of existing data solutions.
• Adapt and learn new technologies based on business requirements.

All you need is

• Key skills needed are hands-on MLE experience, Python, Pyspark/Databricks, GenAI (NLP/LLM), Vector DB, Deep learning framework, and Azure.
• Five (5) plus years of experience in data engineering, machine learning, and cloud tech developing production grade software components and solutions
• Experience with database technologies for structured and unstructured data both for storage and optimal retrieval
• Experience in developing solutions leveraging LLMs a plus
• Proficient in Azure services such as Azure Blob Storage, Azure Synapse Analytics, Azure Databricks, and Azure Functions.
• Demonstrate strong hands-on experience with data engineering and data pipelines
• Proficiency with languages such as Python, PySpark, Java etc.
• Experience with developing Cloud-native applications and very good understanding of Cloud architecture and best practices
• Experience with relevant code repository and project tools such as GitHub, JIRA, Confluence
• Working experience with Continuous Integration, Continuous Deployment CI/CD
• Experience with highly scalable Data stores, Data Lake, Data Warehouse, Lakehouse, and unstructured datasets
• Experience with Data integration, data processing, data streaming, message queuing techniques
• Detail oriented individual with strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills
• Ability to clearly communicate to both technical and business teams
