Summary
The Senior GIS Analyst is responsible for developing standards, providing recommendations on GIS strategy, and being part of a team supporting the implementation of a new Enterprise Asset Management (EAM) platform that utilizes Esri's GIS platform for asset management. The Sr. GIS Analyst will apply a discrete focus necessary build datasets and support the field collection of data.
Responsibilities

• Provide recommendations for building out the GIS environment set so it can be used as the system of record for client Operations
• Perform an analysis of the logical data flow between existing client systems
• Assist with the development of the GIS for the EAM deployment
• Lead the data collection activities under the direction of the GIS Manager and client
• Work under the direction of the GIS Manager and client to build the enterprise GIS and tools to support the client's strategic plan

Requirements

• Expert knowledge of Esri products and peripheral technologies such as ArcGIS Desktop, ArcGIS Server, and ArcGIS Online, Python, Model Builder, and ArcGIS Enterprise
• Ability to lead field collection activities and in-depth knowledge and practical experience of quality assurance
• Direct experience with utility and facility attributes necessary for operations and maintenance in a GIS (Esri) system
• Bachelor's degree from a regionally or nationally accredited institution in Environmental Science, Geography, GIS, Urban Planning, Computer Science, or a closely related field
• Minimum of five years of experience using Esri suite of GIS software including ArcGIS Desktop and its related extensions, ArcGIS Enterprise, relational databases, and GIS conversions to latest ArcGIS version
• GIS Professional Certificate (GISP)
• Experience with spatial data management, spatial analysis technologies, process design and modeling, server and web GIS technologies
• Ability to translate business requirements into a GIS design
• Skilled in the conversion of spatial data into digitized formats utilizing current GIS technologies
• Skilled in researching, compiling, summarizing, and interpreting statistical data and information materials
• Ability to plan and see the big picture
• Detail oriented and organized with excellent time management skills
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
