Senior GIS Developer
Job Description
Spatial Front provides IT solutions to federal, state, and local governments, and the private sector. We are searching for an experienced Senior GIS Developer. This is a large-scale IT software development effort implementing Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe). The candidate will develop web-based GIS applications at a large scale with ArcGIS JavaScript API.
Requirements
- Work efficiently as a Sr. GIS developer in an agile environment with a delivery expectation of new features.
- Work extensively with Esri's suite of applications and tools to develop web-based products.
- Designs develop, enhances, debugs, and implements interactive and batch software.
- Researches, tests, builds and coordinates the conversion and/or integration of new products based on client requirements.
- Consults with project teams and end-users to identify application requirements.
- Performs feasibility analysis on potential future projects to management.
- Assists in the evaluation and recommendation of application software packages, application integration, and testing tools.
- Resolves problems with software and responds to suggestions for improvements and enhancements.
- Effective communications, verbal and written, with the customers, managers, and others is required.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
- 8+ years of hands-on experience in web GIS application development using ArcGIS Javascript API.
- Proficiency in React is a valuable addition.
- Knowledge of various ArcGIS services is advantageous.
- Familiarity with Geoprocessing service development using ArcPy is a strong plus.
- Demonstrated attention to detail in previous projects.
- Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members and stakeholders.
- Proven ability to work harmoniously in a team environment.
- Eagerness to learn and adapt to new technologies and methodologies.
- Strong team player, contributing to a positive and collaborative work atmosphere.
Additional Information:
- In order to meet the clearance requirements for this opportunity, candidates must be US Citizen and/or Current Green Card Holder.
- All candidates will be subject to a complete background check to include, but not limited to Criminal History, Education Verification, Professional Certification Verification, Verification of Previous Employment and Credit History.
- Public Trust background investigations can take approximately four to eight weeks and requires fingerprinting.

- The salary for this position is $90,000 - $130,000 annually
