The Role

As a Senior GitHub Actions Architect, you'll design cutting-edge software frameworks, systems, and products that will set the standard for the industry. You'll leverage your extensive technical expertise to conceive system interfaces and business application prototypes, while identifying and resolving any framework design weaknesses.

As a Architect, you'll write and develop Terraform scripts and modules to create, manage, and destroy infrastructure for hybrid cloud environments. Your expertise in Terraform commands, best practices, deployments, debugging, and troubleshooting will be instrumental in driving our infrastructure forward.

Your responsibilities will include, but not limited to:

• Designing and implementing infrastructure as code using Terraform.
• Collaborating with the DevOps team to ensure infrastructure is highly available, scalable, and secure.
• Troubleshooting and resolving issues related to infrastructure as code.
• Automating infrastructure provisioning and configuration using Terraform
• Maintaining and enhancing our existing Terraform codebase.
• Developing and implementing best practices for infrastructure as code.
• Working with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment of infrastructure with business objectives.
• Continuously improving our infrastructure using the latest technologies and industry best practices.
• Documenting infrastructure code and processes.

You'll use your technical expertise to provide technical leadership to the application development team, perform design and code reviews, and ensure that uniform enterprise-wide application design standards are maintained. You'll also collaborate with other stakeholders to ensure that the architecture is aligned with business requirements, making sure that the project meets its goals.

Your expertise in designing major aspects of the architecture of an application, including components such as user interface, middleware, and infrastructure, will be put to use as you create and maintain documentation surrounding the software architecture, application design processes, component integration, testing guidelines, and other key elements.

Required Technical and Professional Experience

• 8+ years of Architectural experience of large customer change and transformation projects
• In depth knowledge and experience of hardware and software including connectivity between platforms
• Hands on experience in setting up Infrastructure as Code with Terraform (Preferred) and CloudFormation.
• Experience with Docker containers and knowing how to build and manage Docker images.
• Scripting experience (bash, shell etc.)
• Experience with at least one programming languages like Python (preferred), JavaScript/Typescript etc.

Preferred Technical and Professional Experience

• Proficiency in setting up and managing GitHub Actions workflows for building effective and efficient CI / CD process.
• Experience in setting up Self hosted Actions Runners on ECS / EC2, configure, install approved software.
• Integration of GitHub Actions with other external tools.
• Ability to develop, maintain custom actions based on the use case.
• Hands on experience on core services (IAM, Service Catalog, Developers tools, monitoring tools like CloudWatch, CloudTrail etc.) in an Enterprise setup.

The compensation range for the position in the U.S. is $134,160 to $254,880 based on a full-time schedule.

Your actual compensation may vary depending on your geography, job-related skills and experience. For part time roles, the compensation will be adjusted appropriately. The pay or salary range will not be below any applicable state, city or local minimum wage requirement.

There is a different applicable compensation range for the following work locations:

California:$147,600 to $305,880

Colorado: $134,160 to $254,880

New York City: $161,040 to $305,880

Washington: $147,600 to $280,320

This position will be eligible for Kyndryl's discretionary annual bonus program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Kyndryl's applicable plans. You may also receive a comprehensive benefits package which includes medical and dental coverage, disability, retirement benefits, paid leave, and paid time off. Note: If this is a sales commission eligible role, you will be eligible to participate in a sales commission plan in lieu of the annual discretionary bonus program.
