Job Description

Job Title: Senior General Ledger Accountant

Location: Katowice (Francuska 46) - hybrid work

Reporting to: GL Team Leader

Job Summary:

We are looking for an experienced Senior General Accountant to join our finance team. If you have a controllership mindset, with a track record in process improvement and automation - you are great candidate for the role.. We are looking for a professional who ensure compliance with financial regulations, and lead efficiency through fresh solutions.

Your Main Responsibilities:

• General Ledger Management: Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts, calculate accruals and process journal entries ensuring accuracy, completeness and accordance with US GAAP/IFRS accounting principles.
• Controllership: Oversee internal controls and ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
• Process Improvement: Implement process improvements to enhance the efficiency and accuracy of financial operations.
• Automation: Lead programs to automate accounting processes, applying technology to refine workflows and reduce manual tasks.
• Audit Support: Coordinate with external auditors and provide necessary documentation and support during audits.
• Team Collaboration: Work with different teams to support our goals and lead financial performance.

Qualifications:

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field. CPA or equivalent certification is a value added.
• Experience: 5+ years of experience in accounting, with a focus on controllership, process improvement, and automation.
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and advanced Excel skills. Experience with automation tools (e.g., RPA, AI) is well seen.
• Communication: Ability to present complex information in proper way.
• Team support: Demonstrated expertise, with the ability to guide junior team members.
