Whether you're on a consumer product (like Gmail, Search, Maps, Chrome, Android) or a business product (Google Ads, AdSense, Google Marketing Platform, Analytics), you take part in a complete marketing experience as you lead every facet of the product's journey. From determining positioning, naming, competitive analysis, feature prioritization and external communications, you help shape the representation of the product and help it grow a consumer base. This means you work with a cross-functional team across Sales, corporate communications, legal, webmasters, product development, engineering and more. In this role, you'll be involved with product marketing strategy from beginning to end.

The Retail and Payments Marketing team is responsible for marketing activations across retail stores and payment partners across the globe. Our goal is to inspire users with valuable marketing, content in retail, and payment channels to drive purchases on Google Play.

In this role, you will join the Marketing team and set the Go-To-Market strategy for the global gift card and payments business. You will work on key programs that allow regional and product teams to maximize the business generation of our retail footprint and partnerships with payment methods by using consumer research, data and insights to inform marketing, user journey, to formulate Go-To-Market strategies. You'll manage global projects/work streams through the complete life-cycle including scoping, planning, executing, implementing, and measuring impact. This will require working closely with internal teams and coordinating with external partners. You will report to the Global Head of Retail and Payments Marketing, Google Play.

Google Play offers music, movies, books, apps and games for devices, powered by the cloud. It syncs across devices and on the web. As part of the Android and Mobile team, Googlers working on Google Play do everything from engineering our backend systems, to shaping product strategy, to forming great content partnerships. They make it possible for people to do things like buy an ebook or song on their Android phone, then have it instantly available on their laptop. The Google Play team enhances the Android ecosystem by giving developers and partners a premium store where they can reach millions of users.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $154,000-$236,000 bonus equity benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities

  • Set the long-term positioning, messaging, vision, and Go-To-Market strategy for products or features. Use growth and measurement insights to develop business cases for opportunities by understanding user and market trends.
  • Lead UX and promotional strategy, decisions, and form guiding principles for launch and growth of Google product features and services in the market.
  • Design user growth experiments and create user lifecycle programs that drive product adoption, user engagement, and efficient spending.
  • Create and deliver all forms of communication for various audiences including senior-level executives. Develop the substance and story of the message, own development of scaled value proposition to enable new partnerships.
  • Define and execute marketing strategy and plans, working closely with sales and marketing leadership. Provide regions with content framework by partner type to collaborate and enable regional campaign planning.
