Senior Global VA/VE Program Manager

What you will do

Johnson Controls has an exciting Global VA - VE Program Manager opportunity available! For the right individual, this could be remote. You will have the chance to work cross functionally gathering both product, process knowledge fact finding to formalize team ideas into reality. Your goal is to help reduce our overall product and manufacturing cost on hundreds of different products. You will need excellent communicational skills to work within our factories, labs and corporate teams while developing options and formulating directions for product improvements. With your passion and talent in Engineering, R&D and the product development sector, you will play a key role in empowering people, facilities, and assets around the world!

How you will do it

Do you enjoy interfacing with Engineering, R&D, Product Development and Manufacturing teams? Do you have experience redesigning existing products and creating more efficient production and material cost reductions and add customer value? Then keep reading, because this could be THE next position for you.

You will study high volume and high cost selling products to gain new ideas from various JCI businesses and get team buy-in. Leading processes and VA/VE workshops will be conducted daily, as well as understanding process cycle times to impact change. You will remove roadblocks by utilizing your outstanding communication skills to work with each department to implement new ideas.

What we look for

Required

• Bachelor Degree in Engineering, or related fields, from an accredited College or University
• 8-10 years of experience within program management
• VA/VE Engineering background and/or experience with related projects and demonstrated VA-VE training, skillset and expertise
• Proven financial analytical skills developing business cases
• Able to travel up to 50% across the US

Preferred

• LSS training and experience
• Post graduate work
