Senior Golang Back end Engineer

Our backend is a monolith, with more than 500 endpoints varying from trivial to terrifyingly complex, and we're moving from a Python/Django stack to Golang. The Sr Golang Engineer will be responsible for helping to plan, design, implement, test, and benchmark this large and complex software system.

We are seeking a passionate, hands-on technical contributor who enjoys working with external engineering teams, and applying leading-edge products to help customers thrive. You should be an expert on the Golang ecosystem, ready to recommend tools, resources, and best practices. You should have a deep understanding of scaling, concurrency, and performance analysis in large systems.

This role is offering a base salary in the range of $165,000-$180,000, depending on experience. The top end of the range will be reserved for candidates with not only the required payments processing background but also with strong gaming operations background. There is the potential to earn up to an additional 15% annually in bonus. Our benefits start on the 1st of the month after the start date and include unlimited PTO, up to a 3% match on 401K contributions, paid parental leave, and a robust health benefits package with 90% of the employee portion covered.

Here's an idea of some of your key responsibilities:

• Design, develop, test, deploy and support distributed, high-throughput, low-latency, highly available, and resilient systems in a cloud environment
• Build monitoring tools for server-side components
• Provide technical leadership, collaborate with product management on future requirements, contribute to product vision and strategy
• Provide support and assistance to the customer-facing team
• Troubleshoot and support live customer operations
