Senior Graphic Designer

The Senior Graphic Designer will be responsible primarily for developing and executing designs and creative concepts across a variety of initiatives while still staying true to the overall brand identity under the guidance of the Senior Art Director and Creative Director. You must have an immense attention to detail, strong color and aesthetic sensibilities, and illustration skills.

Responsible for: 

You will team up with the Senior Art Director and creative team at large to do the following…

• Develop creative based on existing brand guidelines, while continuing to evolve and elevate Starface’s digital creative for both evergreen content and campaigns
• Assist in the development of graphic directions/treatments for 360 campaigns including emails, ads, SMS communications, social graphics, custom gifting, and OOH. 
• Help develop creative for collaboration pitch decks, including packaging mock ups and patch designs through the creation of custom logotypes, illustrations, unique packaging solutions, etc. 
• Partner and collaborate with the Senior Copywriter and Junior Copywriter to create visuals that go hand in hand with creative copy. 
• Partner cross functionally with the brand marketing and growth marketing teams to execute on a range of projects including campaigns, OOH, print, ecommerce, and digital advertising. 
• Manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment ensuring deliverables are achieved on time and efficiently while maintaining a high standard. and keeping lines of communication open with the Senior Art Director and Director of Creative Operations to keep track of priorities. 
• Reviewing projects in a timely and efficient fashion with the Senior Art Director.

What you need to succeed:

• A BFA in graphic design (or related field)
• 5 years of professional design experience in the fashion, beauty, or lifestyle industries (either in-house or agency). 
• Has a strong understanding of design (typography, layout, visual hierarchy, and composition) 
• An independent problem solver who exhausts all options and able to provide solutions/ideas to creative problems
• Experience in illustration and the development of custom logotypes and typography 
• Experienced in digital design but print experience is a major plus!
• Knowledge of digital best practices across a range of assets (email, paid ads, etc.)
• Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, AfterEffects, etc.) and Figma. Experience with 3D rendering software is a plus
• A consistent and open communicator; not afraid to ask questions and keeping lines of communication open with the Senior Art Director and Director of Creative Operations. 
• Must be up-to-date and aware of current graphic, fashion, and beauty trends, as well as the greater culture at large 
• Has a strong and informed POV and understanding of aesthetics 
• Takes their work very seriously and is extremely meticulous about the details
• Not afraid to be bold—pushing the limits and breaking traditional design rules and presenting ideas that might be a little out there
• Proactive about their work and always thinking about ways to push the brand
• Able to work under pressure and tight deadlines, and is quick to deliver

Salary and Benefits:

• Compensation for this role is $85 - $110k depending on experience
