Description
Responsible for leading the team members and projects in creating flyers, ads, brochures, packaging, and other marketing support materials using graphic design, desktop publishing, illustration, animation and video editing software in both Mac and PC environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Writes print specifications and coordinates with agencies, printers, and other vendors to ensure cost-effective design, materials, and processes.
- Creates marketing materials, including but not limited to brochures, newsletters, ads, flyers, posters, trade show graphics, and other marketing materials.
- Maintains an organized digital asset management system.
- Reviews artwork, color keys, and print proofs to ensure accuracy and the overall quality of materials.
- Creates assets for the company's websites and other digital marketing channels.
- Leads a team of graphic designers to complete tasks, answer questions, solve problems, and give advice on projects.
- Makes independent decisions on design issues.
- Monitors incoming work and assigns tasks accordingly.
- Performs other related duties as required or assigned.

- Understands print processes, digital marketing tools, and color systems.
- Utilizes creativity; researches and recognizes design trends.
- Effectively communicates information and responds to questions in person-to-person and small group situations with customers, clients, the general public, and other employees of the organization.
- Writes routine reports and correspondence.
- Adds, subtracts, multiplies, and divides numbers (using currency and other forms of measurement).
- Utilizes common-sense understanding in order to carry out written, oral, or diagrammed instructions.
- Deals with problems involving several known variables in situations of routine nature.
- Plans the time, method, manner, and/or performance sequence of own work; may also occasionally assist in planning work assignments performed by others within a limited area of operation.
- Frequently makes decisions of both minor and major importance, which may affect the work operations of other employees and/or clientele to a moderate degree.
- Completes some moderately repetitive tasks.
- Uses noncomplex machines and equipment (adding machines, calculators, copy/fax machines, etc.).
Education and Experience
- Equivalent of four years of high school (required).
- Associate's degree in graphic design or a related field (preferred).
- Two to four years of relevant experience in graphic design (required).
Computer Skills
- Advanced: Adobe creative suite or similar software, presentation/PowerPoint, word processing/typing.
- Intermediate: Database, spreadsheet.
- Basic: Alphanumeric data entry, CRM.
Physical Activities
- While performing the functions of this job, the employee is:
- Regularly required to sit and to talk or hear.
- Frequently required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel and to reach with hands and arms.
- Occasionally required to stand or walk and to climb or balance.
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision.
- The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds.
