Summary
The Senior Graphic Designer is responsible for developing and transforming concepts into creative solutions, helping to manage creative team personnel and ensuring brand objectives are achieved across projects. Reporting to the Creative Director, the ACD should bring a strong design sensibility and an ability to help translate creative requests into actionable projects. The preferred ACD candidate should also possess a passion for collaboration - both with our strategic marketing partners and with our design team to efficiently deliver on-target creative from a continuous improvement mindset.
Key Responsibilities Include
- Support the Creative Director and Associate Creative Director with the development of concepts and designs for a wide range of marketing and advertising channels which might include brochures, merchandising, direct mail, digital ads, web and email.
- Possess strong design skills and instinctive eye for quality.
- Champion of brand standards amongst the team and with cross-functional partners.
- Ability to execute a project from concept to execution while working with prescribed timelines and budgetary requirements.
- Extensive and ever evolving technical skills including Mac O/S, full Adobe suite, CMS experience and light HTML (email) support to execute work effectively and efficiently.
- Print production experience and expertise.
- Ability to work with additional resources to complete work including third-party vendors.
- Ability to meet client objectives, values, budgets and deadlines.
- Participate in brainstorming sessions to explore best creative options.
- Present designs to Creative Director and/or Associate Creative Director.
- Keeps up with the latest trends and technologies.
Qualifications Include
- Degree in marketing, graphic design or related field.
- 5+ years of related experience.
- Demonstrated knowledge of marketing, brand, and design principles and development.
- Experience working in a dynamic work environment.
- Ability to work independently on focused work.
- Collaborative creative partner able to work with other creatives and cross-functional team members and vendors for larger campaigns.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal and presentation skills.
- Ability to communicate design and creative choices in a clear and concise manner.
- A passion for the craft that will inspire co-workers to elevate the work.
