Senior Graphic Designer

The Opportunity

Seeking a creative graphic designer with project management experience to focus on the marketing aspects of multifamily real estate transactions for our Seniors Housing Specialty Group. In addition to advanced knowledge of design with a focus on typography and layout, this role is a strategic partner and excellent communicator who is skilled at building relationships across departments.

Responsibilities

Essential Duties (Primary Responsibilities) include the following.

• Design graphics for a variety of content types including text, numerical data, maps and infographics. 
• Design and create custom marketing materials including real estate proposals, pitch decks/slides, offering memorandums, dedicated property websites, etc. for both InDesign layouts and web to print
• Uphold Berkadia’s brand standards and create innovative designs within those standards
• Select and utilize color palettes, photography, typography, and other design elements effectively
• Provide the highest level of quality and accuracy by thoroughly reviewing all materials
• Coordinate with advisors and marketing support staff to ensure accurate, timely production and distribution of materials for each project
• Stay updated on the latest industry trends.
• Assist other team members and departments when necessary
• Serve as the liaison between the Investment Sales Advisors and the Graphic Design team at Studio Blue
• Disseminate critical information in the best manner to the end client in an eye-catching manner, while adding value, graphically, to the marketing piece

What you will need to be successful 

• Advanced skills and strong knowledge and competency with Adobe Creative Cloud applications including InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, and Acrobat in a PC environment
• Expert knowledge of MS PowerPoint
• Excellent MS Word, Excel, and Outlook skills
• Uphold and strive to innovate within the Berkadia brand standard guidelines
• Review all materials for content and design to provide the highest level of quality, creativity and accuracy
• Assist other team members when necessary
• Outstanding time management. Ability to organize and prioritize multiple simultaneous projects with changing priorities
• Strong customer service skills and the ability to effectively manage expectations of customers with strong personalities
• Visually inspiring portfolio showcasing creative, design, and technical abilities 
• Experience in editorial design and formatting for medium to long length publications with attention to detail
• Strong work ethic and ability to organize and prioritize multiple projects with changing priorities
• Effective collaborator with strong customer service skills, who can manage expectations and provide innovative, client-focused, creative solutions
• Adept at creating files for print and digital distribution
• Understanding of web standards and page design
• Excellent business computer skills using Teams, Word, Excel and PowerPoint 
• ​​Bachelor’s degree or equivalent​
• Experience in the Commercial Real Estate industry helpful
• Submission of portfolio required
